Beatrice Ella (Rentschler) Meitzler

Beatrice Ella (Rentschler) Meitzler, 89, passed away Tuesday in her sleep at the home of her son, George R. Meitzler, in Myerstown.

She was married to the late Joseph G. F. Meitzler who passed away November 25. 2017.

Born in Shartlesville, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Emma (Kiene) Rentschler.

She was employed at various textile mills and was a devoted homemaker.

She was a former Sunday school teacher, an excellent cook, and enjoyed gardening.

Surviving are two sons, George R. Meitzler and wife Susan Meitzler of Myerstown and Kevin A. Meitzler and wife Starlyn Meitzler of Lake Wynonah.

There are four grandchildren, Ty, Emma, Abby, and Michael Meitzler.

She is survived by a brother, Ray “Robbie” Rentschler of Shartlesville and predeceased by her siblings, Bertha Olar and Oscar, Charles, and Ralph Rentschler.

She is survived by a devoted nephew, Greg Rentschler of Hamburg.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 28th at 1:30 pm in St. Michael’s Church Cemetery, 529 St. Michaels Rd., Hamburg, PA 19526.

The Kirkhoff Funeral Home in Bernville is entrusted with the funeral arrangements.
