Barbara A. Weiler, 75, of Laureldale, passed away Wednesday, June 25th at Golden Living Center, Exeter Twp.
She was the widow of Larry T. Weiler, who passed away June 4, 2006. They had shared 43 years of marriage.
Born in Wiconisco, Dauphin County, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Messner) Hartman.
Barbara graduated from Wilson High School in 1956 and Reading Hospital School of Nursing in 1959. She was a registered nurse with Berks Visiting Nurse Association for 10 years and subsequently a sales clerk for Hallmark Gold Crown Shop in the Fairgrounds Square Mall for 25 years.
She was a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church and also the Reading Hospital Alumni Association.
Barbara was known to give back to her community and was involved in charity organizations.
Survivors include her step-daughter, Rita Archeval of Reading; step-grandchildren: Matthew Weiler, Icie Tarango, and Elijah Weiler of Reading, and Jada and Briana Glick of Texas; and step-great-grandchildren: Jullian and Angelina Jacobs and Trinity and Serenity Weiler.
A funeral service will be held Wednesday, July 2nd at 10:30 a.m. in the Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc., 4914 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA with Rev. Terry Cooney officiating.
There will be a viewing from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Laureldale Cemetery.
