Arlene R. Milkins, 92 of Tampa, FL and formerly of Sinking Spring and Wernersville, PA went to be with the Lord April 11, 2015. She was a patient in Melech Hospice House, since April 6, 2015; having previously resided with her daughter, Richelle.
She was predeceased by her husband, Edward R. "Bob" Milkins who passed April 24, 1997. They were married December 24, 1942 having celebrated over 54 years together.
Born in Reading, PA she was the daughter of the late Charles A. and Elsie M. (Edinger) Kochel. Arlene is survived by three daughters Richelle L. Angstadt spouse of Patricia Balthaser, Tampa, FL; Laurel A. wife of Karl Neumuller, Mohnton, PA; and Doreen R. wife of Tom Coursey, Zephryhills, FL: five grandchildren Lori Angstadt, Eric and Kyle Neumuller, Shannon Catherman, and Lisa Hill: three great-grandsons; Dylan Peters, Gavin Neumuller, and Matthew J. Hill: two nephews Michael and David Kochel: and sister-in-law Clara Kochel.
She was predeceased by her brother Robert Kochel.
Arlene was employed as a secretary by the former Fleetwood Sportswear and lastly as the private secretary to the president of Berks-Tek Inc., Cumru Township until her retirement. In her younger years, she was very involved with Boy Scouts of America.
She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sinking Spring.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, April 18th at 11:00 AM in Milkins Giles Funeral Home, Inc. 4914 Kutztown Road Temple with the Rev. Richard Moore officiating. Burial will be in Zion Spies Cemetery, Alsace Township.
A viewing will be held Friday 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the funeral home and Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
