Arlene M. (Blatt) Kline

Arlene M. “AB” (Blatt) Kline 91, of Tilden Township died Monday in her residence.  She was the widow of John B. Kline, who died August 1991.

Born in Penn Township, she was the daughter of the late Charles N. and Amy B. (Kramer) Blatt.

Surviving are two daughters; Loretta A. and Linda L. Kline of Tilden Township.

Arlene was the last surviving member of eight siblings. She is survived by several nieces and nephews.

She was a member of the former Shartlesville Grange, the Shartlesville Fire Company’s Ladies Auxiliary, and the former Strausstown Fire Company’s Ladies Auxiliary.  She enjoyed Circle Word and embroidery.

Arlene retired as a cook with thirty-two years of service from the former Shartlesville Hotel.  Prior to that she was employed by the former Bernville Shoe Factory. Also, she worked on the farm.

Funeral services from Kirkhoff Funeral Home, Bernville on Saturday at 10:30 A.M. with Reverend Timothy Kramer officiating. Family will receive friends on Saturday 9:30 until time of services.  Interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Hamburg.

A note to Mom:  you gave a very good fight til the end. Now you can rest in peace. We both want you to know how much you were loved to the moon and back and beyond.  Thanks for being our Mom. Love, Loretta & Linda
