Anna D. Bubbenmoyer

Anna D. (Ruth) Bubbenmoyer 87 formerly of Bernville died Friday evening in the Phoebe Berks Health Care Center, Wernersville where she had been a guest for the past five years. She was the wife of Franklin K. Bubbenmoyer. They had shared a loving marriage of sixty-three years.

Anna was born in Bernville on April 9,1929. She was the daughter of the late Reverend Dr. Frank W. and Florence U (Iobst) Ruth

She was predeceased by the following brothers and sisters; Dorothea Doupe, Florence Hiester, Robert Ruth, Rhoda Berliner, Richard Ruth, Donald Ruth, and Franklin Ruth, Jr.

Surviving in addition to her has husband are many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Bubbenmoyer was a member of St. Thomas Church and was a member of the church choir. She was a charter member of the Bernville Women's Club and sang in the quartet. She was a graduate of the former Penn Bernville High School graduating in the Class of 1947. She was, also, a graduate of the former Mc Cann School of Business.

Anna started her career as a secretary for her father, who was a state senator in 1950. She was co-owner of the former Bubbenmoyer's Flower Shop from 1950 until 1965. From 1965 thru 1970 she and her husband owned the Jefferson Drive Inn. From 1970 to 1972 she was the cook and assistant manager of the Heidelberg Country Club. Lastly she was employed for thirteen years from 1978 thru 1991 in the purchasing department of the Reading Hospital & Medical Center.

Memorial services from St. Thomas Church, 536 North Main Street, Bernville, PA 19506 on Saturday at 1:00 P.M. with Reverend Dr. Daniel Lute officiating. Interment of cremains at a later time in St. Thomas Cemetery.

Family will receive friends Noon until time of service at the church.

Flowers are welcome but memorial contributions may be given in Anna's memory to the church at the above address or to the charity of one's choice.
