Albert Neppes

Albert Neppes, 82, of Upper Tulpehocken Twp., passed away Tuesday, January 15th in Tower Health, Reading Hospital.
Albert was married to Gladys M. (Lear) Neppes. Albert and Gladys were married for sixty loving years in October 2018.
Born in Lumberville, Bucks County, he was the son of the late Chester and Thelma E. (Drake) Neppes.
He graduated in 1954 from Central Bucks West High School.
For twenty three and a half years he was a member of the Naval Reserve in Willow Grove, PA.
For forty years Albert was a Heavy Equipment Operator, primarily for highway construction, for the Operating Engineers Local # 542, District 2, Reading.
He enjoyed the outdoors. He loved to go hunting and fishing.
He was a life member of the NRA, a member of the Shartlesville Fish and Game Assoc., and the Hamburg Game Assoc.
Additional survivors include four children, Chester D. Neppes and wife Colleen Neppes and Michael W. Neppes and wife Lisa both of Hamburg, Cindy L. Neppes and Jeff Musser of North Myrtle Beach, SC, and Audrey L. Brownmiller and husband Michael Brownmiller of Cody, Wyoming.
There is a brother, William P. Neppes of Perkasie, PA
Also ten grandchildren, Ashley Roberts, Kelsey Beebe, Kevin and Brian Reimert, Shannon Hess, Stacey Delong, Kylie Lehatto, Cole Trump, and Megan and Ryan Brownmiller.
There are six great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 18th at 11 am in the Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main St., Bernville with Rev. Dr. Daniel Lute officiating.
A viewing will be held on Friday morning one hour prior to the service in the funeral home.
Interment will follow in Strausstown Cemetery.
