Ada Almira (Keeney) Miller, lovingly known as "Tootie," passed away on May 27, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of warmth and kindness. She was born on June 21, 1940, in Robesonia to her parents Herbert and Clara E. (Behney) Keeney.
Ada dedicated 37 years of her life working as a inspector for H.H. Boots until her well-deserved retirement. Her meticulous attention to detail and dedication were evident in all aspects of her life.
Outside of work, Ada found joy in various hobbies and interests. She was an active member of Christ Little Tulpehocken Church and the Red Hats community. Ada enjoyed playing cards, solving word searches, reading, gardening, supporting the Philadelphia Phillies, and above all, cooking and baking. Her pineapple upside-down cake and cookies were legendary among those fortunate enough to taste them.
Ada is survived by her beloved children: Linda L. Staudt (David), Laura L. Wike, and Jennifer L. Baker (Christopher). She will also be fondly remembered by her grandchildren: Rebecca Staudt, Stephen Staudt, Robert Wike, and Richard Wike. Additionally, Ada is survived by her sister Annie Elizabeth Beinhower, along with granddogs Forrest, Tedd, and George, and a cherished rabbit named Dutch.
Ada is now reunited with her husband of 47 years, Robert S. "Dutch" Miller in eternal peace. She also joins her parents Herbert and Clara Keeney and siblings Esther Mae Behney, John Robert Keeney, Tyrus Michael Keeney, Carrie Maggie Keeney, Elmer Leroy Keeney, Herbert Lester Keeney, Leroy Paul Keeney, Harry Eugene Keeney, Jeremiah Alvin Keeney, Shirley Marie Gibble, and Alvin Valentine Keeney
The services to honor Ada's life will be held at Kirkhoff Funeral Home, 206 N. Main Street, Bernville, on June 1, 2024. A viewing will take place from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM followed by a Funeral Service from 12:00 PM.
Burial will take place in Christ Little Tulpehocken Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ada's name may be made to the Christ Little Tulphocken Church Building Fund, 40 Church Road, Bernville, PA 19506.
